CLASS BREAKDOWN

For 45 minutes of the class, we will be focusing on arm care, a throwing program, routines and game preparation, as well as preparing for the start of the 2025 season. We have constructed a throwing program that will allow each player to build up at the appropriate pace in order to be prepared for when their Spring season begins. One of the biggest issues that we run into at Zoned is players “over throwing” or throwing too much throughout the winter. This program will have a short period of time in the beginning where the main focus is giving your arm a break from throwing, however, focusing on strengthening the muscles in and around your arm. As the program goes on, the intensity behind throwing a baseball will begin to rise.

The benefit of being a part of this program is to learn about when to throw, how much to throw, as well as the correct way to throw. As we get deeper into the winter class, we will shift its focus to more mound work. The tools that the players will learn in this class should be carried over to their bullpen sessions. Ultimately, our goal is to teach each player how to take care of their arm, prepare their arm, strengthen their arm, and work on their mechanics of being a pitcher.

The other 45 minutes of this class will be focused on their body. Although everybody in this class is young, there are plenty of exercises that they should be doing to increase their strength, as well as their speed. Coach Ray has constructed an entire workout regimen for the players in this class to follow all winter long. Regardless of their experience, all players will learn tools to help them succeed in becoming a stronger, more well-rounded athlete.
